  2.             Windows v3.x Driver Installation Instructions

  4. See the SpeedSTAR-24 Manual for detailed installation information.

  6. Four subdirectories are provided performing the following tasks:
  7.  
  8. \WIN30DRV        -       Windows 3.0 specific files
  9. \WIN31DRV        -       Windows 3.1 specific files
  10. \SHARED          -       Files shared by both Windows 3.0 and 3.1
  11. \ICONFIX         -       Fix black and white icons at 32k colors and above
  12.  
  13. Install Windows 3.0 or 3.1 using the Microsoft supplied VGA driver.
  14. Verify operation of the environment prior to installing drivers.
  15.  
  16. Windows 3.0 - 
  17.      Execute the SETUP program from your Windows directory and select the 
  18.      "Other..." choice at the bottom of the video display list.  When 
  19.      prompted for the location of your video driver disk, specify:
  20.      C:\SS24\WIN30DRV or the drive where these files exist.  Pick the driver 
  21.      that best meets your needs and insert any Windows disks if prompted.

  23. Windows 3.1 -
  24.      Execute the SETUP program from your Windows directory and select the 
  25.      "Other..." choice at the bottom of the video display list.  When 
  26.      prompted for the location of your video driver disk, specify:
  27.      C:\SS24\WIN31DRV or the drive where these files exist.  Pick the driver 
  28.      that best meets your needs and insert any Windows disks if prompted.
